ASUTIFI NORTH UNVEILS ANAM LOGO

The official logo for Asutifi North Ahonidie Mpumtuo (ANAM) Initiative was unveiled on Thursday, November 10 in a short ceremony at the District Assembly in Kenyasi, Asutifi North District.

In July 2022, the Asutifi North District Assembly under its WASH Desk in an effort to drive wider network participation and discussion of WASH launched the ANAM WASH LOGO CONTEST. Participants were to submit logo designs that effectively convey important WASH messages and the works of ANAM Initiative.

ANAM Initiative is a project by Asutifi North District Assembly with funding from Conrad Hilton Foundation and partners IRC, World Vision, Netcentric Campaigns, Aquaya, Safe Water Network and CDC. It is a thirteen-year masterplan started in 2017 for the promotion of access to safe Water, basic Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) services for communities, healthcare facilities, and schools within the district in line with Sustainable Development Goal 6.

The competition which received twenty-two entries had Patrick Nana Kwasi Okofo-Dartey emerging as the winner. Patrick was presented with a cash prize of One Thousand Cedis at the ceremony.

District Coordinating Director, Mr. Samuel Badu-Baiden in his address remarked, “it is very important for us, especially the young people in our midst to use our personal skills and take advantage of opportunities to cause progress in our immediate environments”.

He further expressed excitement over the presence of some designers who contested and assured them of opportunities from the Assembly going forward.

The event brought together partners ofANAM initiative, heads of departments, Assembly members, Traditional Authorities, WASH ambassadors, and staff of the Asutifi North District Assembly.
